Four Stars

Dark Story (which one would expect with a title like Bloodwalk) with interesting characters. Ending was intriguing.

Good characters, great mood and excellent storytelling!
By P. George
I don't generally write reviews but in this case i had to.
A friend of mine that plays D&D with my group recommended that i check out this new book, primarily because i love the realms.
Wow!
The characters were inventive and surprisingly realistic in that you feel like you are right there in their heads when they are fighting someone. You also start to care for some more than others and are genuinely shocked when one or two die unexpectedly.
The mood being set was truely creepy. At times i thought i was reading something set in Ravenloft rather than the realms. The sights, sounds and even the use of local plantlife and animals really conveys a sense of intimacy with the surroundings.
Now the fun part, the storytelling.
Mr. Davis does a good job of telling multiple stories with the use of flashbacks and intertwining/mirroring some characters backstories to produce an effect not normally seen in the genre.
All in all i would say that i enjoyed this book and look forward to more books from Mr. Davis.
Wizards of the Coast please give this author more writing opportunities to prove that he could be a valuable member to their stable of great writers.

Great First Book!
By Stefan
This was an exceptional and highly entertaining read. Bloodwalk is the second in the Wizards series from Wizards of the Coast. The books standlone from each other and feature a particular "class" of wizard. This story centers around two characters, Quin, a Ghostwalker (for more on the Ghostwalker read Eric Scott de Bie's incredible book Ghostwalker) and Morgynn , a Blood Mage.
The book moves along at a fast, well written pace. The story moves from present to past to give the reader backstory and history on the characters. Some authors have a difficult time doing this but Davis performs it flawlessly. When reading these tranistions I was reminded of the Highlander TV series and its shift from present to past to tell the story.
If you like tragic heros and vile villains, this story is for you. I hope we can see more of Quin in the future.
